The Bossier City Police Department’s Vice Unit arrested two people Thursday night for bringing a minor to Bossier City for the purpose of engaging in prostitution.

Vice officers arrested Qualyn Deshawn Mitchell, 30, of Alexandria, Louisiana and Erica Patrice Campbell, 26, of Dallas, Texas while conducting an undercover operation targeting prostitution.

During that operation, officers utilized the Internet to arrange a meeting with a suspected prostitute at a local motel room for the purpose of having sex in exchange for money. Upon arriving at the room officers made contact with a 16-year old female. Officers learned that Mitchell and Campbell brought the girl to Bossier City from Dallas, Texas to engage in prostitution.

In the course of their investigation officers made contact with Mitchell and Campbell in another room at the same motel and subsequently arrested them. Both were booked into the Bossier City Jail and later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility. Mitchel was also booked on a drug charge due to officers finding marijuana in his possession.

The investigation determined the 16-year old willingly came to Bossier City with the couple but wasn’t informed by Campbell and Mitchell of their intentions with her until after they arrived in Bossier City. She was released to the custody of Child Protection Services.
