Bossier High senior tight end and linebacker Isaiah McKinsey have been named second-team All-District 1-3A.
The 6-foot1, 195-pound Simpson recorded 19 pancake blocks. The 5-7, 195-pound McKinsey had 43 tackles, including 11 for losses.
Junior running back Devin White was named the offensive MVP. White helped the Knights reach the semifinals of the playoffs.
He rushed for 1,414 yards on 163 carries, an average of 8.7 yards per carry. He scored 20 rushing touchdowns and two receiving. He also returned four kicks for touchdowns.
Evangel’s Jerry Tillery, a 6-7, 315-pound senior defensive lineman, was named the defensive MVP. Tillery helped the Eagles win the district title. He had 21 solo tackles, 11 assists, three sacks and eight quarterback hurries. Tillery, who also made first-team offensive guard, has signed with Notre Dame.
The All-District 1-3A team was selected by the district’s coaches.
