The Emperor has no clothes.
Acting like a cheap version of Josef Stalin or Hugo Chavez, Barack Obama, using the Government Shutdown as a pretext, has openly attacked the American people and their institutions. The shutdown, which he owns, since he won’t negotiate, has allowed him to engage in all sorts of dark mischief against us and he is doing it in an effort to destroy conservatives (Republicans, the Tea Party, etc.).
If he can make the shutdown miserable enough, he figures he can successfully blame conservatives. As one angry Park Ranger put it, “It’s a cheap way to deal with the situation. We’ve been told to make life as difficult as possible for people as we can. It’s disgusting!”
Catholic military priests have been told by the Obama “syndicate” that they will be arrested if they attempt to minister to soldiers during the Obama shutdown. The Catholic Church is on Obama’s hit list after she pushed back against the unconstitutional demands of Obamacare and sued the government.
Veterans’ Memorials have been shut down by Obama and his “henchmen” and elderly veterans have been threatened with arrest if they do not comply with the “Fuhrer’s” demands. In addition, access to other public sites has been banned, including Mt. Rushmore, where cones were placed in the streets to keep Americans from stopping to take pictures. Obama does not own these public places, by the way. The American people do.
Residents have been forced out of their homes and, in one case, 70 families were ordered to vacate their domiciles because they are built on federal land. Armed Park Rangers did the bidding of a “tyrant.” And again, by the way, these residents pay the government for the use of the land which is our land in the first place. No matter. If the people did not move, many of them elderly, they were also threatened with arrest by the Obama “Gestapo” who had guns and ammo in hand.
Then, there was the incident where heavily armed Park Rangers forced a bus full of foreign senior citizen tourists to leave Yellowstone National Park, at gunpoint. As an aside, for those of you on the Left, are you able to see why the Second Amendment is so important? Didn’t think so, but I thought I would ask anyway.
In another of many incidents, one couple was forced to leave their vacation spot in Big Bend National Park. According to The Blaze, “When the couple was ousted from their vacation spot October 1st, a park official told them they could relocate to the neighboring Big Bend Ranch State Park if they wanted to continue their visit.” The official provided them with a map.
“It’s a bigger park and it’s a more rugged park,” said parks department spokesman Mike Cox. “The map they received was small-scale. They needed one with more detail. The couple was familiar with the national park—but the state park is a little trickier, registering more accidents and fatalities per year.”
On October 2nd, the couple made their way to the state park, set up camp, then biked to the Puerte Chilicote Trail to go for a hike. That’s when things took a turn for the worst.
According to the Houston Chronicle, while they had a map of the area, it wasn’t very detailed and they weren’t very familiar with the terrain. They soon ran out of water and became tired, forcing them to spend the night lost at a scenic overlook near Mexicano Falls. The couple had to be rescued by the Presidio County Sheriff’s Office, the volunteer Texas Search and Rescue Team, Texas game wardens and state park police. All of this because of “Josef” Obama’s alleged orders to his minions to “make life as difficult for people as we can!”
And then, the ultimate insult to our veterans and the surviving families of those killed in war. When several brave soldiers laid down their lives in Afghanistan, their families were told, because of the Obama Shutdown, the Defense Department would not be able to pay out the $100,000 death benefits that normally go to the survivors. This was a national disgrace and should make every American angry, no matter what their political stripe. This was a new low, even for Obama, and the buck stops at his desk.
Bottom line, this is about Obama and his unquenchable thirst for power over us all. He acts more like the leader of a Third World country every day. The criminal element that now occupies the White House believes they are smarter than we are and are entitled to push, prod and poke us at their whim. The signs have been there all along with the Sequester, Obamacare and now the Obama Shutdown. He is again being unmasked for who he really is.
Still, something seems to be stirring in the heads and hearts of many American citizens. Recently, World War II veterans and some Republican members of Congress, to their credit, removed the Obama barricades placed in front of the World War II Memorial. In defiance, the vets streamed in to look at the memorial they helped build. It may have been the first shot fired across the bow of the Obama administration—a mild form of civil disobedience.
In 1773, our forefathers “held” a Boston Tea Party for the Brits. This began the movement that would, in 1775, become the first American Revolution. I get the feeling that many Americans are beginning to think it is time for a second American Revolution. I hear more and more talk about “marches on Washington” and vows to “take our country back.” That’s a healthy sign.
In a letter to William Stephens Smith, dated November 13, 1787, Thomas Jefferson wrote, “The people can not be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions it is a lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. We have had 13 states independent (sic) 11 years. There has been one rebellion. That comes to one rebellion in a century and a half for each state. What country ever existed a century and a half without a rebellion?
“And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure…”
That says it all. There are times when it is necessary to push back and push back hard. That time may be at hand. If debating and voting don’t work, then comes civil disobedience. If civil disobedience doesn’t work, then comes armed rebellion. These are perilous days and a second American Revolution may be right around the corner.
