The City of Bossier City is issuing a boil advisory for residents of the Mission Village Apartment Complex at 400 John Wesley Boulevard.

The advisory is being issued in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals- Office of Public Health regulations because utility crews had to turn off water to the complex for about an hour today to replace a valve on a water line that runs along John Wesley Boulevard between Bobbie Street and Loreco Street.

The advisory is a precautionary measure and pertains only to water that is consumed. It is recommended that residents of Mission Village Apartments boil water for one full minute in a clean container before consuming it while the advisory is in effect.  Bossier City will rescind this boil advisory once it gets word from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals РOffice of Public Health of test results that show the water is safe.  Again this is a boil advisory and not a boil order.

The city will notify the media when the advisory is rescinded.
