The City of Bossier City is issuing a boil advisory for residents of the Mission Village Apartment Complex at 400 John Wesley Boulevard.
The advisory is being issued in accordance with Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals- Office of Public Health regulations because utility crews had to turn off water to the complex for about an hour today to replace a valve on a water line that runs along John Wesley Boulevard between Bobbie Street and Loreco Street.
The advisory is a precautionary measure and pertains only to water that is consumed. It is recommended that residents of Mission Village Apartments boil water for one full minute in a clean container before consuming it while the advisory is in effect. Bossier City will rescind this boil advisory once it gets word from the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals – Office of Public Health of test results that show the water is safe. Again this is a boil advisory and not a boil order.
The city will notify the media when the advisory is rescinded.
