Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 has rescinded its boil advisory that it issued on February 25th for the Village Water System.

The advisory, which affected residents living in the Espanita Forest and Espanits Village Subdivisions, was initially issued due to a water main break leading into the subdivisions, requiring the valve to be shut off during repairs. Approximately 375 residents were estimated to be impacted by the advisory.

Following repairs and testing, officials have determined that the water is now safe for consumption, and the boil advisory has been lifted.

Residents in the affected subdivisions no longer need to boil their water before consuming it. Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1 advises residents to resume normal water usage.

For more information or any concerns regarding the water system, residents are encouraged to contact the Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No.1.
