UPDATE: Bossier school buses “will be impacted” by burn chamber transport

The burn chamber that’s on its way to Camp Minden is running behind schedule, meaning bus routes and traffic this afternoon will be impacted in Elm Grove, South Bossier and Haughton. This may delay children’s arrival home.

Bossier Schools’ Transportation Department is notifying bus drivers to take alternative routes and will continue to monitor the transport today and tomorrow.

It is suggested parents picking up their children go one of two ways around the burn chamber; cut across Smith Road from Hwy 71 to Hwy 527 or vice versa. They can also cut across Goat Hill Road to come out on Hwy 157, then turn right onto Hwy 527.
