Bossier City Police have released more details in a wreck that killed two people over the weekend.
The accident happened Saturday on Interstate 20 just after 8 p.m. Police say an eastbound vehicle, driven by Ryan Milliken of Monroe, crossed the median just before the Airline Drive exit, striking a vehicle head-on in the westbound lane. The driver of that vehicle has been identified as Heather Hudman of Longbranch, TX. Hudman was pronounced dead at the scene along with a rear seat passenger in the vehicle, identified as Marcy Johnson of Karnack, TX. Audra Johnson, the front seat passenger, was transported to University Health in Shreveport and is currently listed in critical condition. Audra is the daughter of Marcy Johnson.
According to BCPD, Milliken stated that he dropped an item on the floorboard and reached down to pick it up when his knee hit the steering wheel, causing him to lose control. Milliken sustained a broken ankle and other minor injuries. He is expected to recover.
No impairment is suspected at this time. Any charges are to be determined, as the investigation is ongoing.
