The Bossier Sheriff’s Office is looking for three or four male suspects who committed an armed home invasion and robbery Thursday morning around 5:40 a.m. in the Dogwood South subdivision in Haughton.
The victims told Bossier Sheriff’s detectives that three, possibly four, black men, wearing masks and gloves and carrying guns, attacked them at their residence early this morning.  The male resident was returning home from a business in Shreveport when he was initially attacked as he arrived home.  The suspects appear to have been waiting on him.

The armed suspects duct-taped the man and woman at the residence and robbed them of money and jewelry.   The suspects hit the man and woman multiple times, and the man was treated for minor to moderate injuries.  Two small children were at home, but were unharmed.

Investigators have obtained home surveillance video and are continuing their investigation to determine a better description of the suspects, as well as the type of vehicle they were driving.

If anyone has any information about this crime or the identity of the suspects or their vehicle, please contact Bossier Crime Stoppers at (318) 424-4100 or directly to the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at (318) 965-2203.  Your information could help land these criminals where they belong…behind bars.

Reports on some social media sites earlier today claim there have been multiple home invasions in Dogwood South.  The Sheriff’s Office would like to clarify this is simply not true, and this kind of talk is only frightening residents.  This morning’s crime is the first home invasion in the entire parish that the Bossier Sheriff’s Office has investigated for quite some time.  There have, however, been some vehicle burglaries in the Dogwood area, which are serious in and of themselves, but a home invasion is quite different, and the Sheriff’s Office doesn’t want to falsely alarm residents.

As always, though, we do encourage residents to stay vigilant and look out for one another.  Sheriff Whittington also encourages residents across the parish to always report any criminal activity by calling 318-965-2203 any time of day or night.
