UPDATE: The man who was hit by a vehicle last night on Airline Drive just north of I-220 is identified as John B. Gunton, 65, of Shreveport. He remains at University Health in Shreveport and is reportedly in stable condition.
Gunton was hit by a southbound 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Stefani R. Newberry, 54, of Benton as he attempted to cross Airline Drive from the median. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No citations have been issued.

Bossier City police are investigating a wreck involving a pedestrian that left one man injured.
Police responded to a motor vehicle accident Thursday involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 9:40 pm on Airline Drive just north of I220.
Witnesses tell police an adult male subject was hit by a southbound Ford Explorer as he attempted to cross Airline Drive from the median. The man was taken to University Health with possibly life threatening injuries.
