UPDATE: Pedestrian hit in north Bossier

UPDATE: The man who was hit by a vehicle last night on Airline Drive just north of I-220 is identified as John B. Gunton, 65, of Shreveport. He remains at University Health in Shreveport and is reportedly in stable condition.

Gunton was hit by a southbound 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Stefani R. Newberry, 54, Ā of Benton as he attempted to cross Airline Drive from the median. Ā The investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No citations have been issued.

Police responded to a motor vehicle accident Thursday involving a pedestrian that occurred at approximately 9:40 pm on Airline Drive just north of I220.

Witnesses tell police an adult male subject was hit by a southboundĀ Ford Explorer as he attempted to cross Airline Drive from the median.Ā The man was taken to University Health with possibly life threatening injuries.
