ORIGINAL POST (8/15/16):

The Bossier Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help in identifying three people involved in the theft of a cell phone that another customer accidentally left on the counter of a Haughton Circle K just 30 minutes earlier.

Bossier deputies were dispatched to the Circle K on Highway 80 and Chandler Road in Haughton around 10:30 p.m. back on Aug. 2 in reference to a stolen cell phone.  A mother told deputies that she accidentally left her Samsung cell phone on the counter while purchasing items for her children.  She said she was gone for about 30 minutes before she realized she left the phone on the check-out counter of the convenience store.  When she returned to the store, the phone was gone.

Bossier detectives were able to obtain surveillance camera footage from the store, and like they always say, the camera doesn’t lie.  An unidentified white male and white or Hispanic female approached the counter to make their purchase. The gutsy woman simply picked up the phone and gave it to another white or Hispanic young male who was standing right behind her.  They then left the store with a gold Samsung Galaxy S5 cell phone that didn’t belong to them.

The owner of the stolen phone told detectives this phone is her only means of communicating, and it’s important because she was awaiting a call for needed employment.

Anyone with information on the identity of these suspects or any information about this crime is asked to contact Bossier Crime Stoppers with your anonymous tip at (318) 424-4100.
