UPDATE: Suspect arrested in bank armed robbery

Detectives with the Bossier City Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit have made an arrest in connection with a recent bank robbery.

33-year old Curtis Parker of Bossier City was arrested June 24 on a charge of armed robbery with a firearm for the June 19th hold up of the Chase Bank branch on Airline Drive at Shed Road. Detectives arrested Parker after linking him to the robbery thanks to a tip made to Bossier Crime Stoppers.

Parker was subsequently booked into the Bossier City Jail.

Bossier City Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Chase Bank at the corner of Airline Drive and Shed Road Friday afternoon.

The robbery happened just before 4:30 p.m. Investigators say the man asked the bank teller for money and the teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and then he walked out to the back of the bank in the direction of a nearby apartment complex.
A perimeter was immediately set by responding officers along with the K9 unit and that track is ongoing.
At the time of the incident, there were six employees in the bank and two customers.  No one in the bank was harmed or robbed individually.
The suspect was described by witnesses as a black male, tall (around 6-00 to 6-01) with a slender build.  He was dressed in dark clothing with some type of cloth around his face.
Anyone with information on the crime is asked to call the Bossier City Police or Crimestoppers.
