The 7th Annual “Veterans Win at Business” event will be Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 8-10 a.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites, 2015 Old Minden Road, Bossier City.
The event is geared toward veterans who own a small business or who are thinking about starting a business. All veterans, including reservists, National Guard members and military spouses are welcome.
Veterans will hear about strategies for starting and growing their businesses as well as strategies for government contracting at the local, state and federal levels, including contracting with Barksdale Air Force Base and Global Strike Command. Small business financing, including the Patriot Express loan and other veteran loan products also will be discussed. Veteran-owned businesses also will share their success stories.
Hosting this event will be the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at LSU Shreveport, U.S. Small Business Administration, Louisiana Economic Development, Northwest Louisiana Government Procurement Center, the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, Bossier Chamber of Commerce, Barksdale Air Force Base 2nd Contracting Squadron, Global Strike Command and the Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs.
