Victim in Bossier shooting identified, suspect arrested

Bossier City Police responded to a large fight call Sept. 25 across from the Cloverdale Apartments on Shed Road.

Upon arrival, officers located one male suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper thigh.  Witnesses said the suspected gunman fled the scene prior to their arrival.

The victim has been identified as Jason Francis, 30, of Bossier City. He was transported to University Health and is said to be in stable condition.

After some investigation it was found that the fight itself was limited to just a few individuals but drew a large crowd.  The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Roderick Davis.

Davis was arrested and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.

Two local schools were placed on a limited lockdown as a precautionary measure during the incident.
