A man wanted in connection with a deadly shootout involving rival motorcycle gangs earlier this year in Texas has been captured in Bossier City.

Personnel with the Bossier City Police Department, the United States Marshal’s Violent Offender Task Force and Louisiana State Police arrested Phillip Ray White, 38, of Eddy, Texas Wednesday evening. White was wanted by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office in Waco, Texas on a warrant charging him with engaging in organized criminal activity specific to murder.

White, a member of the Cossack Motorcycle Club, was indicted by a Texas grand jury for his role in the May 17, 2015 shootout at the Twin Peaks Restaurant in Waco that left nine dead and 20 wounded.

Law enforcement officers were able to locate and identify White at the Diamond Jacks Casino in Bossier City Wednesday evening which time he was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Bossier City Jail for booking. He was later transferred to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility and is awaiting extradition back to Texas.
