Virginia College in Bossier City will host a “Go Green” Community Clean-Up Thursday, March 16 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Pierre Bossier Mall, 2950 E. Texas St. The event is free and open to the public and will feature a student cookout after the clean-up.
The clean-up will begin promptly at 11 a.m. as attendees help beautify the area surrounding the mall. A cookout will take place at the campus’s patio directly following the clean-up. Campus tours will also be available throughout the event for those interested in learning more about Virginia College in Shreveport.
The campus will partner with Shreveport Green for the “Go Green” Community Clean-Up. The event is the culmination of a week’s worth of “Go Green” campus festivities, including a scavenger hunt, bingo and a dress-up day for students.
The event is part of Virginia College parent company Education Corporation of America’s national Spring Fling events being held at 61 other Brightwood College, Brightwood Career Institute and Virginia College locations throughout 16 states.
“It is always a treat when we get partner with the community and volunteer alongside current and prospective students and their families,” says Campus President Cathy Baker. “We look forward to celebrating the upcoming spring season together with the Go Green efforts and a festive cookout. The event will also allow attendees to explore the programs offered through Virginia College, including: Business Administration, Cosmetology, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Network Engineering, Network Technician and Pharmacy Technician programs.
