Virginia College in Bossier City will host a Holiday Friends and Family Open House for the community and former, current and prospective students on Thursday, Dec. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., as well as 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., to be held at the campus located at 2950 E. Texas St., Suite C.
While learning about the educational opportunities available to Shreveport/Bossier City-area students at Virginia College, attendees are also invited to help spread holiday cheer and give back to the community by donating a new, unwrapped toy to benefit Toys for Tots.
“We are excited to host a Holiday Friends and Family Open House here at Virginia College in Shreveport/Bossier City,” says Campus President Melody Rider. “Not only will this event benefit the Shreveport/Bossier City community, but it also gives area residents the opportunity to gather together and celebrate the holiday season with their friends and family. We’re hoping all students can contribute to the toy drive to help make this holiday season brighter for local children.”
The Open House event is free and open to the public. Various planned activities will provide fun for the whole family including a talent show entitled “V-Factor,” a holiday craft-making area for children, a raffle for students, lunch, refreshments and giveaways. Attendees will also be able to tour the campus, see demonstrations in all functional areas and receive information about programs offered including: Business Administration, Business Office Specialist, Cosmetology, Customer Service Professional, Healthcare Reimbursement, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, Network Engineering, Network Technician, Pharmacy Technician and Sales Professional.
