Wedding: Cain-Quackenbush

Kelly Anne Cain and Bobby Alan Quackenbush were united in marriage on Saturday, October 19, 2013, at six o’clock in the evening at First United Methodist Church of Bossier City, Louisiana. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverends David Dietzel and Douglas Cain, uncle of the bride. Music for the ceremony was provided by vocalist Mike Crawford, organist Earl Stanage, violinist Callie Dean, and musicians Jordan Dean, Lara Crawford, and Claire Crawford. Scripture reading was by the bride’s cousin, Amanda Cain.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Cain of Bossier City, Louisiana and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Quackenbush of Shreveport, Louisiana.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless ball gown designed by Sophia Tolli. The taffeta gown included embroidered lace adorned with beading and Swarovski crystals along the sweetheart necklace and side bodice with a lace-up corset back. The side draped full skirt featured a chapel length train accented with a jeweled lace pick-up and matching lace trim. Her fingertip length veil was of ivory silk tulle with pencil edging. She wore her great-grandmother’s pearl necklace and earrings and carried a lush bouquet of antique hydrangea and sangria mini callas, with cymbidium orchids tucked in and crystal accents interspersed.

Bridesmaids included Amy Cain and Carrington Cain, sisters of the bride, both of Bossier City, Louisiana; Lacey Ardoin of Keithville, Louisiana; and Chelsea Withrow of Shreveport, Louisiana. The maids’ bouquets were of jeweled toned stock, cymbidiums, and mixed blossoms in a base of ivory hydrangea.

Friend of the groom, Brett Walker of Houston, Texas, served as best man. Groomsmen included Cooper Cain, brother of the bride, of Dallas, Texas; CJ Smith of Shreveport, Louisiana; Darrell Giles of Benton, Louisiana; and Justin Hudson of El Paso, Texas.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Savoie’s, where guests enjoyed music and lighting provided by Muzik Unlimited Productions. Floral design was by Jemi Adcock of Adcock and Associates. Jeanne Hine of Sweetie Cakes created the bride’s and groom’s cakes. Photography was provided by Kelly Cathey Photography.

Kelly is a graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Master of Business Administration. She is currently employed by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of Multifamily Asset Management. Bobby is a graduate of Northwood High School and attended BPCC. He is the owner of Redline Performance and Motors in Bossier City, Louisiana. Following a honeymoon to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, the couple will reside in Bossier City, Louisiana.
