Widespread power outage in north Bossier City knocks out traffic signals

UPDATE: Power has been restored. All traffic signals are functioning and working as normal.

From the Bossier City Police Department:

Widespread power outage in north Bossier City knocks out traffic signals

Traffic signals at multiple intersections in north Bossier City are out due to a widespread power outage. Bossier City police officers with the assistance of the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office are directing traffic at as many intersections as possible until SWEPCO gets the power restored. The effected intersections are along Airline Drive and Benton Road approximately from Douglas Drive north to Brownlee Road. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in these areas and treat each signalized intersection without power as a four way stop.
