Bossier City – William Luther Bryant, Jr., age 76, died on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital.
William was born on October 20, 1937 in Liberty, South Carolina.
Bill is survived by his lovely wife, Frances Bryant, and his son, Robert Bryant and wife Angie. He is also survived by his son, Brian Dawson, wife Tammy, his daughters Tanya Wells, husband Bill, and Brenda Lewis, husband David Caudell. He is survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, his sister, Patricia St. Claire, and husband Jim along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marie Bryant, and his sister, Thelma Clark.
He retired from the Air Force after serving his country for 23 years. He retired as Superintendent of security police attaining the rank of Senoir Master Sgt. He also served in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star.
He was a member of the Masons and a Shriner.
He enjoyed golfing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. After retirement Bill and his wife enjoyed traveling abroad.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10am at Aulds Funeral Home, 7849 E. Kings Highway, Shreveport, LA 71115.
