BOSSIER CITY – Funeral services will be held for William Walter on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hill Crest Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow at Louisiana Northwest Veteran’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Hill Crest Memorial Funeral Home.
William was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, VFW Post 5951, American Legion 14, Shriners and the Sons of Italy. He enjoyed playing golf, darts, dancing and traveling.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Walter, and daughter, Marianna Johnson.
William is survived by his wife Josephine Williams Walter; son William Mike Walter and wife Alicia; brother, Denis Walter and wife Anita and Don Walter and wife Corrine; sister, Gayle Bach; grandchildren, Jimmy, Kris, Stephanie, Matt, Jon, Matt, Felicia, Crissey and numerous great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the: Wounded Warriors Fund.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff, 3rd Floor, at Christus Highland, who made his last days as comfortable as could be. Also a special thanks to Ann Lombardino, who personally assisted William in preparing his food.
