The Winter Jam 2025 Tour, presented by World Vision and founded by NewSong, made another electrifying stop in Bossier City on Saturday, March 1, 2025, delivering an unforgettable night of worship, high-energy performances and spiritual renewal. Thousands of attendees packed Brookshire Grocery Arena for the highly anticipated event, part of a 38-city nationwide tour.

This year’s lineup featured an impressive array of Christian music’s biggest names, including Skillet, Anne Wilson, KB, Colton Dixon, NewSong and Micah Tyler, along with inspirational speaker Zane Black. From rock anthems to heartfelt worship ballads, the artists brought an energy and message that resonated deeply with the crowd.

“We are looking forward to touring with dear friends and seeing everyone out on the road,” said John Cooper of Skillet. “Let’s rock!”

For Russ Lee of NewSong, the mission of Winter Jam has remained the same—providing a family-friendly, faith-centered experience at an affordable price.

“Our goal has always been to host an event for families and individuals who want to have a good time but also be encouraged and built up in their faith,” Lee said. “We want parents to know their teens and young children are safe and in good hands at Winter Jam. The songs and the overall experience will be uplifting, inspiring and entertaining for all ages.”

For many in the Shreveport-Bossier community, Winter Jam was more than just a concert—it was a spiritual awakening. Local churches and youth groups filled the arena, making it a tradition that continues to grow each year.

“This was an incredible night of worship and praise,” said Bossier City resident Ashley Taylor, who attended with her church group. “It’s amazing to see so many people from different backgrounds coming together in one place to worship God.”

Local Christian radio stations played a major role in promoting the event and connecting the faith community.

“It is exciting and a joy to see so many people, young and old, come out to hear such great Christian bands,” said Robin House, station manager for Miracle Radio, 90.7 FM in Shreveport-Bossier and 90.9 FM in Minden. “Attendance at Winter Jam was great this year, with many driving several hours to be here. We met people at our booth from Texas, Arkansas and South Louisiana.”

Kayla Berrier, director of marketing for KVNE, echoed that sentiment.

“Our mission at KVNE is to glorify God by encouraging people, connecting the community and pointing people to Jesus,” Berrier said. “We love getting to partner with Winter Jam in the Bossier City-Shreveport area because it does exactly that! Seeing the local community and people from all over come together to praise God is something we will never grow tired of. This night is a chance to experience hope that can only be found in Jesus. We can’t wait to be back again next year!”

Winter Jam’s humble beginnings trace back to a free NewSong concert in Greenville, South Carolina, on a cold January night more than 30 years ago. What started as a small worship gathering has now grown into one of the largest Christian music tours in the country, drawing hundreds of thousands of attendees annually.

“God keeps blessing it, and people keep coming out and enjoying the night while being inspired and encouraged,” Lee said. “We are humbled by its success and honored to be a part of it.”

Beyond the music, Winter Jam’s message remains one of hope, faith and God’s love. Organizers hope that those who attended leave not only entertained but spiritually refreshed.

“There is great peace and freedom in knowing these truths,” Lee added. “They have changed all of our lives, and we want to pass along this great news!”

As Winter Jam 2025 continues its journey across the country, the tour’s Bossier City stop on Saturday night was one to remember—a night filled with music, worship and the unshakable power of faith.
