The Airline Vikings finished second in the Scott Pine Memorial tournament Saturday at Airline.
The event featured 12 teams.
Grapevine, Texas, won with 211 points followed by Airline (179), Parkway (160), Haughton (106), Benton (103) and Bossier (89).
Airline had two individual champions — Tony Lococo in the 145-pound weight class and Christian Walden at 152 pounds.
Four Vikings finished runner-up — JuJu Jones (126), Scott Prouty (138), DJ Evans (160) and Keegan Gilligan (182).
Josh Partin (120), Matt Pitts (126) and Dalton Lambright (132) all had third-place finishes.
Other champions from Bossier Parish schools were Benton’s Hayden Shankle (113), Haughton’s Dylan Holliday (120), Parkway’s Hunter Huckaby (138), Bossier’s Avery Jones (160) and Benton’s Jordan White (170).
Greenacres’ 8th-grader Tucker Almond, wrestling with the Renegade A club, won the 106-pound class.
Other runner-up finishers were Parkway’s Garrett Strozier (113), Parkway’s Trevor Tamburo (120), Parkway’s Nathan Pitts (145), Parkway’s Zac Funderburk (152), Haughton’s Johnny Vanveckhoven (220) and Benton’s Chauncey Taylor (285).
Other third-place medalists were Haughton’s Cayleb Bounds (106), Parkway’s Matt Pitts (126), Parkway’s Levar Allen (160), Bossier’s Isaiah McKinsey (195) and Haughton’s Jonathon McCleskey (285).
