Benton rising junior Audrina Wade helped Team Louisiana make history earlier this month at the 2026 Women’s National Duals in Westfield, Ind.

Louisiana went into the tournament looking for its first ever dual match win in the event and came away with two victories in the Junior Freestyle White Division.

They went 2-2 in the division, defeating North Carolina Red 49-21 and Arkansas 37-35. Louisiana finished second in the division behind Indiana Blue. They lost to Indiana Blue 41-36 in Round 1.

Wade went 4-2 overall in the tournament.

Team Louisiana started in the Pool B bracket of the main tournament, losing to Georgia and Florida.

Wade lost her match against Georgia in the 125-pound by a 15-7 decision, scoring one of Louisiana’s 17 points.

Wade defeated her opponent against Florida in the 120-pound class by fall in 2:26. She scored five of Louisiana’s 15 points and was one of three Louisiana winners.

Louisiana was then placed in the White Division. Wade wrestled in the 125-pound class in all four matches.

She won three, defeating her Indiana Junior Blue opponent by fall in 1:31, North Carolina Red opponent by fall in 2:01 and Arkansas opponent by fall in 1:28.

Her only loss was against a New York opponent by technical fall.

Wade won the 132-pound class in the inaugural LHSAA Wrestling State Tournament girls division in 2025 and finished second in the 126-pound class in February.
