Yline Betty Davis Hermann

BOSSIER CITY – Yline Hermann, 84, died peacefully on April 2, 2014, and took great comfort in knowing that she would be with Jesus.

Yline was born on August 8, 1929, in Carthage, MS to Roy Guy Davis and Ethyl Slack Davis. She married Milton Hermann on December 24, 1951. Their son, Scotty, was born on May 15, 1953, and was the light of their life. She retired from First National Bank in 1989, after 23 ? years of service. Yline was a woman of deep faith and a member of Cypress Baptist Church since 1984. One of her greatest passions and pleasures was her Dorcas Sunday School class. Yline loved her church family. She could often be found in her kitchen baking bread, cakes and cooking for the masses. Gathering with her friends to play dominoes and participating with the Ball Club was another enjoyment.

Yline was preceded in death by her husband, Milton; and her parents. She is survived by her son, Dr. Scotty Hermann and wife, Tracie; and the apple of her eye, granddaughter, Mabrie Davis Hermann.

The family wishes to thank Annette Perrin, who was like a daughter to Yline.

Per Yline’s request, in lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Cypress Baptist Church in Benton, LA.
