Three Diamond Youth Baseball Division I World Series tournaments at Tinsley Park are nearing their conclusions.
The AAA (10U), Majors (12U) and Ozone (12U) tournaments are all down to their final four teams after Monday’s games.
In AAA, undefeated Texas faces Mississippi at 9 a.m. Tuesday. The winner plays the winner of a 9 a.m. elimination game between Louisiana and South Carolina at 2 p.m. in the championship round.
In Majors, undefeated Louisiana faces Georgia at 11:15 a.m. The winner plays the winner of an 11:15 elimination game between Mississippi and North Carolina at 4 p.m. in the championship round.
In Ozone, undefeated Georgia takes on Florida at noon. The winner faces the winner of a noon elimination game between North Carolina and Alabama in the championship round.
If any division finishes with three teams with one loss apiece after Tuesday’s games, the event will stretch into Wednesday.
The Division I tournaments began last Friday with 12 teams in each division.
They followed the Division II tournaments. Both tournaments combined brought approximately 750 players and their families to Bossier City with an estimated economic impact of $4 million.
