The Benton All-Stars won the Dixie Youth District IV O-Zone (11-12) baseball tournament Thursday night in Ruston.
Benton completed a 4-0 run in the event with a 12-0, four-inning victory over Ruston.
Benton also defeated Haughton 5-1 and the Shreveport Americans 11-0 earlier in the tournament. They received a forfeit from the Shreveport Nationals Thursday.
Members of the champion Benton All-Stars are Liam Rogers, Grayson Mims, Dane Stearns, Cameron Braun, Tanner Underwood, Adam Smith, Jackson Illingworth, Daymon Burrell, Jack Walters, Cody Jones, Ryley Sharp and Todd Dominick. Coaches are Jason Mims, Ryan Stearns and Brad Sharp.
Illingworth pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts against Ruston. Benton pounded out 15 hits. Jones went 2-for-2 with a homer and three RBI. Walters went 3-for-4.
Stearns, Sharp and Illingworth had two hits each. Stears Smith, Burrell and Dominick all had doubles.
Rogers hit two home runs and had four RBI against the Shreveport Americans. Jones and Dominick also hit home runs. Stearns went 2-for-2 and pitched a four-hitter with five strikeouts.
Jones pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts against Haughton and hit a grand slam home run. Mims went 2-for-2.
Haughton finished runner-up. After losing to Benton, Haughton bounced back with wins over the Shreveport Nationals (11-1), the Shreveport Americans (17-8) and Ruston (6-4).
Benton and Haughton both advanced to the O-Zone state tournament July 24-28 in Concordia Parish.
Bossier Parish youth baseball and softball teams are enjoying a successful All-Star tournament season.
The Bossier Nationals won the Little League 11-12 District 4 tournament Friday night at the Shreveport Little League Complex. The Bossier City All-Stars won the 10-11 tournament Thursday in Shreveport.
Bossier teams also won the Little League T-Ball, Machine Pitch Minor (7-year-old), Machine Pitch Major (8-year-old) and 9-10 district baseball tournaments and the 7-8 Machine Pitch and 9-10 softball tournaments.
The Bossier Nationals edged Blanchard 2-1 in the championship round of the 11-12 tournament. Bossier also defeated Blanchard 13-5 Thursday night. Blanchard would have had to defeat Bossier twice to win the title.
Bossier’s Micky Parks pitched a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts Friday night.
The Nationals trailed 1-0 going into the bottom of the fifth. Brady Norcross led off with a triple and scored on a passed ball. Parks hit a one-out single to center field and moved to third on a single by Connor Norcross. Norcross stole second and Parks scored the go-ahead run on the throw.
Grayson Gates and Hayden Smith also had hits in the game.
Bossier scored eight runs in the top of the fifth in the 13-5 victory. Gabriel Larry led off the inning with a home run and then hit another one before it was over.
Harrison Waxley had a three-run home run. Connor Norcross hit a solo homer.
Winning pitcher Hayden Knotts allowed four hits and struck out 11 in 5 1/3 innings.
Other players who contributed to the championship were Ashur Hall, Coleman Stafford and Gavin Ashworth.
The Little League 9-10 and 11-12 state tournaments will be played at Clifford Almond Park beginning July 17.
The Bossier All-Stars defeated Blanchard twice to win the 9-10 softball title early last week.

Members of the 9-10 baseball championship team are Taft Prince, James Ross, Brayden Thetford, Justice Brown, Triston Hargrave, Tyler Ferguson, Aaron Echols, Noah Littleton, Cale Latimer, Trenton Brown, Maximus Holt, Zachary Clute and Aiden Colvin. Coaches are Shane Thetford, Craig Ross, Rob Latimer and Todd Littleton.
Members of the 8-year-old Machine Pitch championship team are Maddox Cockerham, Ashton Ross, Colton Birdsong, Abel Thetford, Tyler Rich, Trey Sinagra, Cole Basham, Drew Robinson, Andrew Sharp, Everett Jacobson, Madden Sawrie and Connor Yates. Coaches are Deuce Sinagra, DJ Birdsong, Casey Robinson and Chad Yates.
Members of the 7-year-old Machine Pitch championship team are Alexandre Baggett, Brennan Jackson, Konner Wood, Seth Breen, Kannon Greer, Owen Patterson, Garrett Clute, Leonard Stevens, Spencer Campbell and Brody Hunsicker.
One Dixie Youth state tournament has been completed. Haughton finished runner-up to Ruston in the 11-year-old O-Zone state tournament played in Ruston. Haughton went 2-2 in the tournament, defeating EORD twice and falling to Ruston twice.
Team members are Blaise Ramirez, Braden Franks, Ryan Rimmer, Logan Carmack, Jackson Voight, Waylon Keith, Dakota Delahoussaye, Jake Pieri, Jacob Hernandez, Dylan Hedrick and Sawyer Dunn. Head coach is Bobby Hernandez. Assistants are John Hernandez and Randy Murphy.
The Benton All-Stars won the AAA 9-year tournament in Ruston Monday night. They went 4-1, defeating Union Parish twice and taking two of three from Ruston, including the title game.

Bossier City finished first in the round-robin AAA (10-year-old) Sub-District tournament at Walbrook Park. Haughton finished second and Benton took third.
Bossier City won the Dixie World Series 9-year-old title last year and the Machine Pitch crown in 2013.
Bossier defeated the Minden Continentals in the first round and the Shreveport Americans in the semifinals of the AAA District 4 tournament in Ruston.
Bossier suffered its first loss to the Minden Nationals Monday night but rebounded with a big victory over Union Parish in an elimination game Tuesday.
Bossier fell to the Minden Nationals again in the championship round Wednesday. As the runner-up, Bossier advanced to the South Regional in Ponchatoula.
Team members are Clayton Brandon, Chase Rambin, Kenner Lauterbach, Wesley Gardner, Riley Sitter, Zach Schoenborn, Barrett Newman, Eli Harper, Conner Stevens, Roland Wilkinson, Mason Morgan and Preston Hill.
Haughton eliminated Benton and then fell to the Shreveport Americans in an elimination game.

Members of the Benton team are Blake Stephenson Austin Ballard, Braden Milam, Matthew Buckner, Pruitt Lingle, Parker Hall, Parker Finley, Colin Herndon, Gray Deason, Cameron McCormack, Justin Slaid and Anthony Ardoin. Coaches are Scott Milam and Todd McCormack.
Bossier City won the T-Ball district tournament, defeating Benton in the title game. Bossier City, Benton and Haughton all picked up wins in pool play as the state tournament began Thursday in Shreveport.

Benton was co-champion in the Machine Pitch district tournament.

Haughton and Benton are playing in the state tournament in Shreveport. Haughton won its first game in pool play Thursday.
Benton finished runner-up in the 7-8 district softball tournament and qualified for the state tournament.

Coaches are Carrie Bamburg, Nathan Disotell, Brandon Stringer and Alison Friar.
The Dixie Boys (14s) district tournament began Friday in Walbrook Park. The Junior Boys (13s) begins Saturday. Bossier City won the Junior Boys World Series last year at Tinsley Park and finished runner-up in the Boys.
The Bossier 13s automatically qualify for the state tournament, which is in Pineville.
