Basketball: Third annual Decari Markray Classic set for Monday and Tuesday at BPCC

The third annual Decari Markray Classic is Monday and Tuesday in the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium at BPCC.

The event is named in honor of the Doyline and BPCC player who lost his life in a car accident on Oct. 2, 2021, in Bossier City.

This year’s Classic features six games over the two days.

On Monday, Baton Rouge Community College faces Navarro College at 5 p.m. and BPCC takes on Delgado at 7.

There will be two college games and two high school games Tuesday.

Navarro plays Delgado at 11 a.m. and BPCC faces Baton Rouge at 1. Doyline plays Plain Dealing at 5:30 and Bossier takes on Evangel Christian at 7:30.
All games will be livestreamed through Bossier Parish Community College’s YouTube page. Follow BPCC Basketball social media accounts for more information.

BPCC is off to a 6-0 start. 

Through the first five games, Braylan McNeal, a 6-foot-6 sophomore guard out of Ruston, led the Cavs in scoring (20.6 pog) and rebounding (11.4 rpg).

Chris Onana, a 6-7 forward from Yaounde, Cameroon, was  averaging 14.7 points. Chris Coleman, a 6-1 freshman guard out of H.L. Bourgeois, was averaging 14.3 points. Farvens Ulysee, a 6-6 freshman guard from Lakeview, N.Y., was averaging 12.8 points.

BRCC and Navarro are off to 4-2 starts. Delgado is 2-2.
