Airline defeated Bossier 3-1 Thursday night on Day 1 of the Bossier Futbol Classic.
In other boys matches, Parkway fell to Byrd 2-0, Calvary Baptist defeated Huntington 6-0 and North DeSoto defeated Minden 2-0.
In a girls match, Bossier fell to Calvary 9-1.
All matches except Calvary-Huntington were played at Memorial Stadium. The Calvary-Huntington match was played at Calvary.
The tournament is scheduled to resume Friday and conclude Saturday. All matches are scheduled to be played at Tinsley Park.
Airline improved to 3-1 with its victory over Bossier.
Dylan Johnson scored two goals. Brady Parks scored on a header. Goalkeeper Matthew Posey had five saves and blocked a penalty kick.
Alan Brady had two assists and Junior Funez had one.
Airline and Bossier have rarely played each other recently. The last meeting was in 2021. The Vikings’ last win was in the 2018-19 season.
Airline plays two matches Saturday against Northwood at 9 a.m. and Evangel Christian at 3:15 p.m.
Bossier (3-4-1) will try to bounce back against Caddo Magnet Friday at 7:15.
Parkway (1-5-2) takes on Northwood at 8:30.
In girls matches involving parish teams Friday, Bossier (1-5-1) plays Evangel Christian at 4:30, Parkway faces Minden at 4:30 and Haughton takes on Caddo Magnet at 5:45.
In another boys match Friday, Haughton plays Northwood at 5:45.
The Bucs (1-6) fell to Neville 3-0 in a non-tournament match Thursday in Monroe.
