High school soccer: Bossier teams, Parkway girls win on Day 2 of the Bossier tournament; Benton girls stay unbeaten with victory over Loyola

The Bossier boys and girls teams won Friday on Day 2 of the Bossier Futbol Classic at Tinsley Park.

The Bearkats defeated Caddo Magnet 5-0. The Lady Kats downed Evangel Christian 3-1.

The tournament concludes Saturday.

The Bearkats (4-4-1) play North DeSoto at 10:15 a.m. and Rapides at 4:45 p.m. The Lady Kats (2-5-1) face Sam Houston at 3:15.

In other boys matches involving parish teams, Haughton and Parkway both lost close matches to Northwood. The Bucs fell 1-0 and the Panthers 2-1.

Haughton Head Coach Michael Marston said Jakobe Delaney, Rigor Rodriguez and Ethan Osbon were standouts.

Haughton plays Leesville at 11:30 and Calvary Baptist at 4:45 Saturday.

Parkway takes on D’Arbonne Woods at 6.

In other girls matches involving parish teams, Parkway defeated Minden 2-0 and Haughton and Calvary Baptist tied 1-1.

Parkway (3-2-2) plays Calvary at 9 a.m. and Evangel at 12:45.

Haughton (3-2-1) takes on Evangel at 4:45.

In a non-tournament girls match, Benton remained undefeated with a 2-1 home victory over Loyola.

The Lady Tigers improved to 8-0-1. The Lady Flyers, who reached the Division IV semifinals last season, dropped to 6-2.
