High school girls basketball: PCA wins; Plain Dealing, Bossier come up short

Providence Classical Academy defeated Doyline 51-15 Monday at Doyline.

The Lady Knights improved to 7-1.

Elsewhere, the Plain Dealing Lady Lions and Bossier Lady Kats came up short.

Plain Dealing fell to Many 48-41 at Many and Bossier dropped a 39-38 decision to Castor at home.

At Many, Jakayla Douglas led the Lady Lions with 20 points. Brianna Newton added 11 and Ka’Mariya Player eight.

Many hit nine 3-pointers. Laroyal Hollans sank four and led the Lady Tigers (7-4) with 19 points. Allie Payne also had four. She finished with 15 points.

Plain Dealing (7-5) returns to action Friday against Evangel Christian at home.

Bossier (3-6) hosts Red River Tuesday.
