High school soccer: Eight parish teams make playoffs; Benton girls, Bossier boys at home in first round

Eight parish teams are headed to the LHSAA playoffs.

The Benton Lady Tigers and Bossier Bearkats will be at home in the first round.

Benton (18-3-3) is the No. 3 seed in Division I girls. The Lady Tigers will host No. 30 Woodlawn-Baton Rouge (8-9-1).

Bossier (15-6-2) is the No. 3 seed in Division III boys. The Bearkats will host No. 30 Buckeye(3-14-2).

The other six teams will on the road in the first round.

In Division I boys, No. 20 Benton (11-11-1) is at No. 13 Lafayette (9-7-8) and No. 23 Airline (10-5-3) will head to New Orleans to play No. 10 Brother Martin (14-4-5). 

In Division II boys, No. 27 Parkway (5-11-2) is at No. 6 Pineville (15-1-2).

In Division I girls, No. 28 Airline (8-8-0) is at No. 5 Hahnville (16-3-2).

In Division II girls, No. 22 Parkway (11-5-5) is at No. 11 New Iberia (12-7-1).

In Division III girls, No. 27 Bossier (6-14-1) will travel to Houma to play No. 6 Vandebilt Catholic (10-6-1).

First-round matches must be played by Feb. 2.
