The Benton Tigers ran their record to 9-0 with a 12-2 victory over Cedar Creek in six innings Tuesday at Benton.
Elsewhere, Airline fell to Ruston 12-9 at Ruston, Haughton lost to Loyola 6-4 at Loyola, Parkway fell to Sterlington 9-1 at Sterlington and Plain Dealing lost to Simsboro 15-0 at Simsboro.
At Benton, Hayden Millen went 3-for-4 with a double. Cole Snell went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.
Colton Birdsong went 2-for-2 with two RBI and drew two walks. Case Jorden had two doubles and three RBI. Brody Turnipseed had two doubles and two RBI.
Bryson Gates got the win. He allowed three hits, struck out two and walked two in three innings. Jackson Jones allowed two hits, struck out eight and walked one in three innings.
Benton visits Glenbrook Wednesday at 6.
At Ruston, the Vikings scored five in the top of the first and led 5-1 through three innings. But Ruston took the lead for good with eight in the bottom of the fourth.
Jack Horton had a triple and three RBI. Jack Henry Smith had a double and two RBI.
Airline (3-5) is scheduled to play two games at Minden Thursday in the Bistineau Classic. The Vikings play Pine Tree, Texas, at 5 followed by a game against Minden.
At Sterlington, Parkway gave up six runs in the bottom of the first after scoring its only run in the top of the inning. Six Panthers had singles.
Parkway (3-3) plays Rayne Friday at 4:30 in the Eunice tournament.
At Loyola, Haughton’s Landon Rolland and Justin Adkinson threw four solid innings of relief.
Parker Presley had a double and two RBI. JP Cormier had a double. Seth Breen had two RBI.
Haughton (5-3) hosts Erath Friday at 6. The game is part of the Northwood tournament.
