Job seekers and employers came together for the Northwest Louisiana Career and Job Fair, held on March 4-5, 2025, at the Bossier Civic Center. Hosted by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce and its many partners, the event served as the premier veteran hiring event in the region, providing invaluable opportunities for job seekers across various industries.
“Ensuring that our veterans, military spouses and transitioning military members have employment in this community is a big priority of the Bossier Chamber,” said Lisa Johnson, President/CEO of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce. “This year’s job fair was a huge success and we couldn’t have done it without our many amazing sponsors, partners and participants.”
The two-day event began with a Job Readiness Day on March 4, where attendees received guidance on resume building, interview techniques, and professional development to prepare them for the hiring process. The Job Fair on March 5, running from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M., brought together top employers from healthcare, education, technology, real estate, HVAC, hospitality, and more, all seeking to fill open positions.
With over 1,000 positions available, the event provided direct access to hiring managers, on-the-spot interviews, and networking opportunities. Registration was completely free for job seekers, making it an accessible and impactful event for those looking to advance their careers.
The Bossier Chamber of Commerce partnered with key organizations, including the City of Bossier City, Department of Veterans Affairs, Louisiana Workforce Commission, Work for Warriors, Dress for Success, Barksdale Air Force Base Military and Family Readiness Center, Goodwill Industries, CHRISTUS Health, Willis Knighton Health, KSLA 12 Careers, and many others, ensuring a well-rounded and resourceful experience for attendees.
As the event wrapped up, organizers reflected on its success in connecting businesses with qualified candidates and supporting the workforce in Northwest Louisiana. The Northwest Louisiana Career and Job Fair continues to play a vital role in bridging employment gaps and strengthening the local economy.
