The Benton Lady Tigers, Parkway Lady Panthers and Plain Dealing Lady Lions were winners Thursday.
Benton defeated Evangel Christian 10-0 in five innings in the Evangel tournament. Parkway edged Calvin 6-5 at Calvin. Plain Dealing swept a doubleheader against Bossier, 5-0 and 11-1, at Rusheon.
At Evangel, Bayleigh Moniz pitched a no-hitter with seven strikeouts and two walks. She also had a double.
Ashley Promes went 3-for-3. Dylan Defee went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI.
Emersyn Disotell smacked a grand slam home run in the top of the second.
Benton (5-1) is scheduled to play two games Friday in the tournament against undefeated Glenbrook at 3:30 p.m. and Captain Shreve at 7:30.
At Calvin, five Parkway players combined for six hits.
Zoey Horn went 2-for-3. Macee Thompson’s leadoff home run in the top of the fifth gave the Lady Panthers the 6-5 lead.
Starter Katie Giovengo allowed four hits, struck out four and walked one in four innings. She also had a double. Thompson allowed one hit, struck out two and walked none in the final three innings.
Parkway (5-3) is scheduled to visit Caddo Magnet Friday at 5:30.
At Rusheon, Plain Dealing’s Nevaeh Fisk went 2-for-2 with a double in the five-inning first game. McKenna Fisk had a double and three RBI.
Katie Green pitched a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks.
Alayna Lambka went 3-for-3 with two RBI in the four-inning second game. Sophie Green went 2-for-3 with a home run two RBI.
Alainah Brooks and Nevaeh Fisk both went 2-for-2. Sophie Green allowed three hits, struck out six and walked two.
Plain Dealing (2-2) is scheduled to visit Red River Monday at 4:30.
