The Benton Lady Tigers and Airline Vikings picked up wins in tournaments Saturday.
Benton defeated Doyle 6-4 in the Calvary Baptist tournament tournament. The Lady Tigers fell to Buckeye 7-6 in eight innings.
Airline defeated Teurlings Catholic 12-7 in the Sulphur tournament. The Lady Vikings also lost to Acadiana 7-3.
Benton scored three runs in the top of the seventh to rally past Doyle.
After Emersyn Disotell singled, Ashley Promes and Audrey Stark hit back-to-back home runs with one out.
Disotell went 3-for-4. Promes went 2-for-4 with two RBI. Stark also hit a solo home run in the top of the second. Olivia Livers had a double.
Bayleigh Moniz pitched four innings. She allowed four hits, struck out two and walked one. Karlea Tasby allowed two hits in the final three innings.
Dylan Defee hit a home run in the bottom of the seventh to tie the game against Buckeye at 6. The Lady Tigers left the bases loaded.
Buckeye scored a run on back-to-back singles with two outs in the top of the eighth.
Emma Holmes singled with one out in the bottom of the eighth but Benton was unable to rally.
Defee went 3-for-5. Lainey Lafitte went 2-for-4 with a home run. Moniz and Stark also hit home runs. Livers and Disotell had two hits each. Promes had a double.
Benton (16-3) is scheduled to host North DeSoto Tuesday at 5:30.
Trailing 7-2 against Teurlings Catho, Airline scored 10 runs in the top of the fourth.
Haley Whiteside went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Lindsey Marcinkus went 2-for-4. Ryan Hutchinson had a double and two RBI. Madalynn Shortridge had two RBI.
Emily Rachal pitched 5 2/3 innings for the win.
Eight Lady Vikings combined for 10 hits against Acadiana. Hutchinson went 2-for-4 with a double. Rachal went 2-for-4. Aleena Duran had a double.
Airline (12-4) is scheduled to visit West Monroe Monday.
