High school baseball: Airline falls to Dutchtown in Game One of first-round series

The No. 23 seed Airline Vikings fell to No. 10 Dutchtown 7-0 in Game One of their best-of-3 non-select Division I first-round playoff series Friday at Dutchtown.

The Vikings (20-15) and Griffins (24-11) will play Game Two Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Game Three, if necessary, will immediately follow.

Dutchtown’s Kason Johnson pitched a one-hitter. He struck out eight and walked none. Johnson faced two batters over the limit.

Dutchtown led 1-0 through four innings. The Griffins scored four in the fifth then added two in the sixth.

Jack Henry Smith had Airline’s hit.

Airline starter Silas Endris went 4 2/3 innings. He allowed four hits.
