Deputies from the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, officers from the Bossier City Police Department, and troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G joined forces to conduct a sobriety checkpoint in the 5800 block of Shed Road on Friday, April 18, 2025.
A total of 649 vehicles were screened during the operation. Law enforcement personnel issued twelve citations for various violations. Nine field sobriety tests were administered, resulting in two arrests for driving while intoxicated. Additionally, one individual was arrested for drug possession.
The checkpoint was conducted as part of a grant awarded by the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission, aimed at promoting roadway safety and reducing impaired driving incidents.
