The Bossier Parish Consolidated Waterworks/Sewerage District No. 1 (CWSD #1) is
pleased to announce that the boil advisory for residents off Wafer Road who get their
water from the Village Water System has been lifted.
On April 22, work crews accidentally broke a water main supplying water to homes
between Lynn Lane and David Drive off Wafer Road. As a result of the break, work
crews shut off the water supply for several hours to make the necessary repairs to the
water line. The interruption of service led officials to issue a boil advisory after the
service was resumed.
Water samples were collected and sent to the Louisiana Department of Health, Office of
Public Health in Shreveport for testing. The results confirmed that the water is safe for
consumption. Residents can now use their water without boiling it.
No further action is required with this advisory.
