The City of Bossier City will host this year’s memorial to honor Law Enforcement Officers that
have died in the Line of Duty. This year’s ceremony will be held on Wednesday May 14 th in the
Court of the Bossier City Civic Center at 620 Benton Rd at 10:00 a.m. . The cities and Parishes of Bossier,
Shreveport, Caddo and surrounding agencies will take part in this ceremony. Mayor Chandler
and Mayor Arceneaux will present a joint proclamation for this event. The week of May 12 – 16
is Police Week and the time that we show our gratitude for these selfless public servants that put
themselves in harm’s way and lost their lives in the line of duty to keep us safe. Bossier City
Police Chief Daniel Haugen said that “this Memorial Service is our way to show our
commitment that we “Will Never Forget” the price that these Officers paid for their
communities. This event is open to the public.
