Insurance Reform Bills Signed:

HB 145 (Wilder) – Tax deduction for Fortified Roof expenses  

HB 356 (Braud)- Allows insuring homes on Stated Value  

SB 137 (Talbot)- Companies have to alert the Commissioner when they plan to leave an area  

HB 258 (Taylor)– Protects our seniors from age discrimination in calculating their insurance premiums.

HB 438 (Firment)-Prohibits advertising expenses in rate filings  

SB 61 (Luneau)- Notice required when credit score affected a premium 

HB 519 (Glorioso)– Ban phone use while driving  

SB 231 (Reese)-Collateral source

DOTD Reform Bills Signed:

HB 528 (Borriaque)- Add office of transformation and office of project delivery DOTD 

HB 556 (Bourriaque)- Relates to reforms of DOTD, and makes changes from chief engineer to assistant secretary for project delivery 

HB 640 (Bourriaque)-Creates office of highway constructions
