We want to give our highest recognition and regards to Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies for their excellent police work this past weekend.
BSO Deputy Wolverton, assigned to the Joint Criminal Apprehension Team (JCAT), conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle pulling a trailer with inoperable tail lights on July 5, 2025. During the stop, indicators of criminal activity led to a request for K9 assistance. BSO Deputy Bell along with BSO K9 Bady quickly responded, and K9 Bady immediately showed a positive response for the odor of illegal narcotics.
The investigation continued and led to the discovery of unlawful items in the vehicle. JCAT personnel recovered 12.9 pounds of marijuana divided into 12 separate vacuum sealed bags, 20 THC vapes, and 3 bottles of THC cough syrup.
Kedric Dorsey was arrested and booked into the Bossier Max for the following charges:
40:966A – Manufacture/Distribution/Possession with Intent (marijuana)
32:304 – Tail Lamps Required
This is yet another example of proactive policing and teamwork leading to real results in keeping illegal drugs off our streets. Great job, Deputies Wolverton, Bell, and K9 Bady!
