Richard Harrell, MD, has returned to the Willis Knighton Physician Network and is opening Willis Knighton
Orthopedics South. He specializes in orthopedic surgery and sports medicine and is experienced in all aspects
of adult and pediatric sports medicine. These include orthopedic trauma, shoulder and elbow surgery and
shoulder and elbow sports medicine.
Dr. Harrell, who earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport,
has been in practice for more than 30 years. He finds joy in helping people of all ages recover from orthopedic
conditions so they can return to activities they enjoy.
When not in the office, he relishes time with family, including three adult children and six grandchildren he
loves to spoil. Dr. Harrell also enjoys spending time on his small farm, building and flying experimental aircraft
and tinkering in his shop.
