Officials with the Office of Public Works for Bossier Parish have
issued a partial boil advisory for the Haughton residents on the Village Water
System.
According to the officials, the boil advisory will impact only those
customers who reside on the south side of US Highway 80, stretching from
Hwy 614 towards the east to Hilltop Road. In addition, residents living in the
Walnut Hill Apartments and Haughton Animal Hospital are also advised to
follow the advisory.
The partial boil advisory was issued after work crews discovered a 4-
inch water main break between the 5300 and 6100 block of Hwy 80.
Officials anticipate the boil advisory will remain in effect until
Monday, March 4.
