Parkway finished runner-up in the boys and girls divisions in the annual Border Dash meet Saturday morning at the South Bossier Recreational Complex.
Ruston swept the titles. The Bearcats scored 56 points in the boys division. Parkway had 66,
Ruston scored 28 points in the girls division. Parkway had 110.
The top three finishers in the boys 3-mile race were the same as last year.
Parkway’s Brennan Robin and Ben Ruliffson finished 1-2. Robin covered the course in 15 minutes, 37.6 seconds. Ruliffson ran a 15:55.9.
West Ouachita’s Jack Kelley was third in 15:58.9. Providence Classical Academy’s Baxter Carroll was fifth in 16:22.4.

Other runners from parish schools finishing in the top 30 were Parkway’s Aiden O’Nishea (11th, 16:47.5), Benton’s Brody Hutchison (14th, 16:55.9), Benton’s Cooper Sims (21st, 17:22.9), Parkway’s Noah Lafitte (22nd, 17:23.4), Bossier’s Quinton Hodge (27th, 17:47.2) and Benton’s Dalton Bliss (28th, 17:47.3).
Benton’s Claire Allen led runners from parish schools in the girls division with a fifth-place finish in 20:24.7.
Ruston’s Eden Dawsey won in 19:35.8. West Ouachita’s Emma Bielkiewicz, the 2034 champion, finished second in 19:46.3.
Five Ruston runners finished in the top 11.
Parkway’s Caylee Weaver and Haughton’s Clara Hicks finished 12th and 13th, respectively, in 21:31.7 and 21:41.8.

Other parish runners in the top 30 were Providence Classical Academy’s Kaylee Ivey (16th, 22:10.8), Parkway’s Kiara Jackson (17th, 22:12.5), Benton’s Maddox Cisneros (19th, 22:15.3), Benton’s Aaliyah Gonzalez (21st, 22:21.3), Haughton’s Alyssa Giddings (22nd, 22:22.0) and Parkway’s Khaliya Harris (23rd, 22:51.5).
Haughton’s Braydon Sepulvado won the 7th/8th-grade boys 1.5-mile race. Benton Middle’s Bennett Moier was third. Elm Grove’s Noah Boulware and Noah Stoute finished fourth and fifth, respectively.
Elm Grove’s Jeffery Carr and PCA’s Jordan Trewett finished 1-2 in the 6th-grade boys 1-mile race.
Benton Middle’s Addison McWilliams and Mckenzie Slane finished 1-2 in the 6th-grade girls race.
Benton Middle’s Avery Devita led parish runners in the 7th/8th-grade girls race with a sixth-pace finish.
