High school cross country: Providence Classical Academy boys win Huntington meet; PCA’s Carroll takes title

Providence Classical Academy won the boys division in the Providence Classical in the Huntington Raider XC Invitational Saturday.

PCA’s Kaylee scored 34 points. Caddo Magnet was second with 36,

PCA’s Baxter Carroll won the boys race, covering the 5K course in 15 minutes, 51.7 seconds.

Caddo Magnet’s Jack Pattillo was second in 15:53.0. PCA’s Josh Pearce finished third in 16:57.2.

PCA’s Henry Carroll and Luke Langdon were 10th and 11th, respectively. Andrew Brewer finished 18th.

PCA’s Kaylee Ivey finished third in the girls race in 20:52. Anacoco’s Sophia Acevedo won in 19:30.20. Loyola’s Sophia Fertitta was second in 20:26.

PCA’s Gabrielle Hamic and Leah Hausgen finished 13th and 14th, respectively.

PCA finished third with 70 points. Caddo Magnet won with 30.
