Get ready to embark on a festive and bright adventure at the 42nd Annual Christmas in Roseland, powered by AEP Swepco! This beloved Ark-La-Tex holiday tradition returns December 4th, inviting guests to celebrate the joy of the season in a stunning winter wonderland. Set against the backdrop of the American Rose Center, the event features 60 acres illuminated by millions of sparkling lights, including lighted and animated scenes, LED displays, and music that brings the lights and gardens to life!

“SWEPCO is proud to help light up the holidays as the title sponsor of Christmas in Roseland,” said William Bradford, Vice-President of External Affairs. “This event brings joy to families across our community, and we’re honored to support a tradition that celebrates creativity, unforgettable memories and festive cheer.”
In addition to the enchanting lights, the artwork of local students will be on display throughout the gardens as part of the Christmas Cards to the Community art program. This initiative began 32 years ago and has become
a cornerstone of the event, with thousands of visitors admiring the creativity showcased by area schools on giant Christmas Cards. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three designs in elementary, middle, and high school di-visions, along with a special “People’s Choice Award”, where all guests of Christmas in Roseland can vote on their favorite artwork. Winners for the school divisions will be announced on December 4th, while the “People’s Choice Award” will be announced on December 19th.
Christmas in Roseland is also excited to offer festive activities throughout the season. For an extra cost, children can ride the Roseland Express Train, take photos with Santa, and roast marshmallows. Adults can purchase and enjoy beverages from the Blitzen Bar provided by Thrifty Liquor. Food trucks will be onsite and available nightly during the event. Lastly, Christmas in Roseland will light up the night sky with a spectacular fireworks display by Pyromania Fireworks every Saturday night and during the grand finale night, Tuesday, December 23rd.
Guests can immerse themselves in the holiday spirit more with special events happening at Christmas in Roseland:
• Sunday, December 7th at 6:00 pm: Angel of Hope Candlelight Vigil
• Thursday – Sunday, December 11th – 14th from 5:30 – 10:00 pm: Roseland Vendor Village. A shopping marketplace featuring local vendors, artists, and crafters.
• Thursday, December 18th:
6:00 pm: Candlelight Concert by Fever: A Tribute to Queen and The Beatles
8:30 pm: Candlelight Concert by Fever: Christmas Special featuring “The Nutcracker” and More
• Saturdays, December 6th, 13th, & 20th at 8:30 pm: Light Up the Gardens Fireworks Show
• Tuesday, December 23rd at 8:30 pm: Light Up the Gardens Fireworks Show Finale

The Gardens feature more than 6,000 rose bushes and offer a lot to enjoy during growing season, but in December, the magical sights and sounds of Christ-mas fill the air.
