Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office Detectives, in collaboration with the Louisiana Attorney General’s
Office of Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, have arrested a Haughton man
following an investigation into the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
Bossier Sheriff’s Office Detectives received a cyber tip regarding suspected CSAM activity. Detectives
launched an immediate investigation and identified Christopher McFarland, 34, of the 100 block of
Fitzwilliam Street in Haughton, Louisiana as the suspect.
Evidence was uncovered showing McFarland shared and received sexual images of children and
engaged in sexually explicit conversations with minors online.
On November 18, 2025, with assistance from Homeland Security, The United States Marshals Task
Force, and the Shreveport Police Department, McFarland was located, interviewed and taken into
custody.
McFarland was arrested on the following charges:
LRS 14:81.1 – Pornography Involving Juveniles (3 counts)
LRS 14:81.3 – Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
LRS 14:46.2 – Human Trafficking
McFarland was booked into the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility where his bond was set at
$3.5 million.
The Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office remains committed to aggressively investigating crimes against
