Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Tier 1 Sex Offender James Felty, 33, of
the 100 block of Theresa Lane in Benton, LA following an investigation that began
in late October, 2025.
Detectives initiated the case after Felty was found to be in violation of his
obligation to Register as a Sex Offender. A forensic review of Mr. Felty’s cell
phone revealed 13 digital files containing Child Sexual Abuse Material.
Mr. Felty was charged with LRS: 14:91.5 – Unlawful use of a Social Networking
Website. He was transported and booked into the Bossier Max. His bond was set
at $650,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
