The Plain Dealing and Benton girls and the Bossier and Benton boys picked up victories in the David Bryant Memorial Classic Saturday at the Centenary College Gold Dome.
In girls games, Plain Dealing defeated Calvary Baptist 65-46 and Benton downed Bossier 52-42.
In boys games, Bossier defeated Red River 58-39, Plain Dealing fell to North Webster 66-30 and Benton defeated North Caddo 53-42.
Jakayla Douglas poured in 44 points to lead Plain Dealing (2-2). Brianna Newton added 12.
Douglas scored 22 in the first half as the Lady Lions built a 34-29 lead.
She tallied five in the third then added 17 in the fourth.
Katelynn Jenkins led Calvary Baptist with 22.
Bella Wiese paced Benton (4-3) with 17 points. She also had four rebounds.
Kryshna Bostic had 11 points, three rebounds and two steals. Arden Smith had eight points, five rebounds and two steals.
Cylah Grigsby had eight rebounds and six points.
Zamarion Carter led Bossier with 19 points. Orianna Edwards scored nine.
The Lady Tigers led 22-19 at the half and 38-34 after three quarters.
Wiese hit two 3-pointers and scored eight in the third. Carter scored 10.
Ron Dillard and Ethon Dodson scored 14 each to lead the Bossier boys. Braylon Robinson added eight and DT Tomas seven.
The Bearkats led 24-19 at the half. Dodson scored eight in the third quarter as Bossier (2-2) extended the lead to 42-29.
Malique Smith led Red River (2-1) with 16 points.
In the Origin Bank Classic held at Louisiana Tech’s Thomas Assembly Center, Haughton fell to West Monroe 53-29 in a girls game.
Skylar Branch and Bella Hammond led the Lady Bucs with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Kyndal Gladney added eight. Malyric Joned led West Monroe (4-0) with 19, including 12 in the fourth quarter.
