Bossier, Parkway and Providence Classical Academy won Tuesday night.
Bossier defeated Captain Shreve 55-52 at Captain Shreve, Parkway downed Carroll 49-35 in Monroe and PCA defeated Glenbrook 69-42 at PCA.
Elsewhere, Benton fell to Woodlawn 43-25 at Benton, Haughton lost to Sterlington 64-56 at Sterlington and Plain Dealing fell to North Caddo in Vivian.
At Captain Shreve, the game featured two teams ranked in the top 15 in the state (all classes) by LBR.
The Gators led 28-27 at the half. The Bearkats rallied and took the lead. But Shreve went on a 10-0 run late in the third to go up 42-37.
Braylon Robinson stopped the run with a 3-pointer and the game was tied at 42 after three quarters.
Both teams struggled offensively through the first half of the fourth. Bossier scored the only three points in the first 4:30 for a 45-42 lead.
Shreve finally broke its drought with a 3-pointer to tie it.
The Bearkats regained the lead on a 3-pointer by DT Thomas. The Gators hit one to tie it a 48 with 1:41 left.
Robinson hit a jumper just inside the arc to put the Bearkats back on top. Bossier got the ball back on a jump ball. Thomas drove to the basket, scored and was fouled. He completed the three-point play and the Bearkats led 54-48 with 29.8 seconds left. Bossier sank one more free throw and Shreve hit a long 3-pointer for the final margin.
Robinson led Bossier with 19 points. Ron Dillard added 15. TJ Bunnery scored nine.
Jacob Richardson led Shreve (3-1) with 16.
Bossier (3-2) is playing in the Showdown in the Lake which starts Thursday.
At Carroll, Eric Shepherd got his first win as Parkway’s head coach.
Caleb Evans led the Panthers with 13 points. Kaleb Willams added 11 and Desmond Wright 10.
Christian Thomas had 12 rebounds and eight points. Antonio Gladney had nine rebounds and eight points. Tristan Sedberry had eight points and six rebounds.
Parkway (1-1) is playing in the St. Amant tournament which starts Thursday.
At PCA, PCA improved to 3-6 with its second straight victory. The Knights are playing in the Converse tournament which begins Thursday.
At Sterlington, the game was tied at 42 after the third quarter. The Panthers took control with a 10-0 run for a 54-44 lead.
Haughton (2-4) is playing in the Quitman tournament which begins Thursday.
At Benton, Benton dropped to 2-2. The Tigers are playing in the Newman tournament which begins Thursday.
